BWT Mücke Motorsport and Joshua Dürksen celebrate their second victory in ADAC Formula 4

Joshua Dürksen takes his second victory of the season at the Hockenheimring with BWT Mücke Motorsport
• Team Manager Roland Rehfeld: "Joshua Dürksen's first race was very, very good. Despite an accident in which his car was damaged, he won the race with aplomb".

BWT Mücke Motorsport went through ups and downs in the ADAC Formula 4 last weekend. At the Hockenheimring. Joshua first clinched his second victory of the season, before he lost many places in the second race in a promising position. At the race on Sunday, he ensured a conciliatory result with a fifth place.

Joshua started the third event of the championship on Friday with promising results. After best times in the two free practice sessions he secured pole position for the first race. One day later, he led the race in a sovereign manner. Even an overtaking attempt by the runner-up, in which he caused a collision, did not upset him. Despite a twisted track, Joshua clinched his second victory of the season.

In the second race on Saturday afternoon he started from eighth position. With a perfect start, Joshua made up two places on the first meters. In the first laps he fought his way forward to fourth place with determined overtaking maneuvers before he lost a lot of time in the second half of the race due to massive tire degradation. On Sunday he had a set of fresh tires available and used them with another good start. Starting in twelfth position, he finished fifth after a few laps. In the final phase he unfortunately collided with a competitor during an overtaking attempt.

For Joshua and BWT Mücke Motorsport there is only little time to catch their breath. Already next weekend the next races of the "Highspeed School of the ADAC" are on the agenda as part of the traditional 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. Most recently, the race track in the Eifel region was fertile ground for BWT Mücke Motorsport. Last August, Joshua celebrated his first victory in the ADAC Formula 4 there, and with the races at the Hockenheimring he shortened his gap in the championship and is currently in sixth place with a 46 point gap.

Roland Rehfeld (Teammanager):

"Joshua's first race was very, very good. Despite an accident in which his car was damaged, he won the race with aplomb. In the second race he used the same tires again. This strategy did not pay off. In the third race he was just behind the fourth when he made a mistake in an overtaking attempt. It would certainly have been a bit more forward. But Joshua apologized to everyone involved. We are all highly motivated and really looking forward to the upcoming races at the Nürburgring. We did well there recently. However, next weekend we'll be driving a different type of track, which many drivers don't know yet."
